hmm...

I kinda like it. It's a cute song with a cute concept ^_^

But as you said, it's just a bunch of variations so it just gets repetitive after a while so, in my honest opinion, it doesn't deserve the top 30. The ending was a bit too abrupt, too.

But don't get me wrong. It's kinda cool. Just play around with what you got here.

dude take this off!

Unless you own the rights to this song or were given the permission by the record company or the band, it's illegal to upload it and distribute it to the internet for free. As it says on the audio submission page:

"If your submission is not your own original work, you will be placed on a rejection list and held responsible for any repercussions."

AND by uploading a song:

"You are making the legal claim that it is your own original work."

Cool

I kinda like it. The structure of the song is obviously very basic and it gets boring after a while but you seem to have something good going on here. I would definitely spend some more time on it if I were you. If you can play the drums irl, then you def should.

ListentoSurvive responds:

i can play drums irl, it would be my main instrument if i had a drum kit. but right now i just use friends' drumsets and sometimes i go to music stores and use theirs... just a matter of time.

thanx for the review man, i actually love the criticism. it tells me where i need to improve.

this isn't the final version either, but ya, when i get the final done, i might add vocals too and upload it again. this would actually be the first real recording i have done. all my other stuff (i have tons i just haven't uploaded yet, cuz no vocals, and the tracks feel empty without them) is synthesized.

Yo what up?

What I liked: I really liked the track quite a bit actually. And I liked what you said in your description. What I got from the song was emptiness and uncertainty and when a song gives you emotions, it's definitely a good one. I'm pretty sure other reviewers would tell you to turn up the guitar, but I actually like it the way it is. It adds to the meaning of your song.

How to improve: I would suggest doing some remastering to the track because I can hear the white noise. You were not playing in time. Try playing this song with a metronome and try and make it more metronome friendly. Also, try adding percussion and chords, but if you think that'll conflict with your song's meaning, you don't have to. One more tip: the riff you did at :06 seemed out of place. Try making it more of a composition than a song, if you know what I mean. I mean, spend more time with it. Compose it. Make your music with love and care!

Peace, adompeace

ripoffhitman responds:

Edit: I did some remastering, I got it to add a little backround effect instead of just white noise. The other parts, I did a lot of work on the second version, but it seems people are more fond of this one, from votes. So i'm not sure what to do with this from now.

1. Ya, the program actually has a metronome to put on while the song is on. The only problem is I have no idea how to get the tempo I need for the feel of this song.
I'll use it anyway though.

2. I added a note in the backround just to mix, I only had the note play when the main part had notes high enough so it wouldn't seem out of place. I would like to add chords, but unfourtunatly, I took a scale that is rarely used, so the only way I can think of adding chords is just to make them out of notes in the scale.

3. This song was something I used to remember a scale, so didn't really have a plan of how to put everything together correctly. So I am probably going to redo the song, but it's going to sound a bit different. Personally, as long as it has the same feel to it, it's cool with me, the scale can do that itself.

And thanks for the review, it's good to get some critisizm, and not just people voting it down or up for no reason.

Nice...

Hey it's me. The keyboard shredding guy. You've got some really cool and original riffs here. The solo was very cool, my friend. The wah was pretty trippy. All I can say is up the tempo of the song by 10 or something. Normally I would say the drum beat was kinda too reminiscent of rap for me but the beat somehow worked well with your riffs. Very well done, man. :)

Maybe we could collaborate on a song of some sort sometime

mrdoosh responds:

hell yeah dude, Id gladly collab anything with you! thanx for da review, i really aprecciate it

You use Garageband loops!

That's okay though. I use the loops sometimes. I think you should try to be more original next time. Don't get me wrong. The song sounds very cool and original. What I mean is don't use the loops in Garageband. You can definitely be original in Garageband. Just delete the notes in the loops and write your own.

giovanni808 responds:

I love to sample. But i am trying to get a midi box for my keyboard. Then i could play on my keyboard! Thx for the review

Yo!

That was really tight, man! Really well composed. How long did this take you? We should compose something together sometime! I play all genres of piano (usually classical).

XGEN0CID3, if you don't like classical, then why would you click on something that says "Cello Concerto No. 1?" Even you should know what's coming, idiot.

Don't listen to him, his mind is too feeble to understand classical music.

MusicalRocky responds:

Hey!
Glad you liked it. This movement took me maybe 2 months. Yeah, it takes a long time. :) Yeah we should collab sometimes, definitely!

I'm not worried about XGEN0CID3 really. There's sadly always someone who doesn't like Classical, and yeah he should've known, but oh well.

I'm glad you liked it, again. Thanks for the review.

Wow. Just...wow

You thought my "Call of Ktulu" arrangements were good? This is really great. It's not flashy. It's just right. And you need help with arrangements? I can do orchestral arrangements for you if you'd like.

Jabicho responds:

Thanks! means a lot!, i'd love if you can make some arrangements, I'm sure it will sound great, thnks again!

Nice

This is pretty good. I really like the spaceyness (yeah, I know that's not a real word lol) of it. I can definitely imagine flying into space and towards the moon. It gets a bit boring after a while, but then again, that is how ambient music works

FatKidWitAJetPak responds:

Thanks. I feel good to know that someone who doesn't like ambient music liked this one. Woohoo! 500 Gold was awarded to me. =B

I don't know...

Iron Man is a great song, but your cover was rather subpar. Or okay at the most.

I can tell you put effort into the song, but the guitar sounded a bit too crunchy, the solo was not perfect, the drums were too quiet, and there was no sense of rhythm in some parts (that wasn't really a major issue though). The biggest problem of this song is the lack of vocals. What's the point of covering a song with vocals if you can't deliver the vocals? Know what I mean? If you don't think you can sing, get a friend. That's what I do in my songs.

To sum it all up, turn the distortion down a little smigit, louden the drums, touch up the solo, and record vocals.

himenow responds:

I don't have any 'friends' where I live that can provide vocals for me.
The 'cover' was just guitar, everything else was digital.
I didn't do the solo, that was digital too :P
I just fiddled around with some notes during that time.
