Nice

This is pretty good. I really like the spaceyness (yeah, I know that's not a real word lol) of it. I can definitely imagine flying into space and towards the moon. It gets a bit boring after a while, but then again, that is how ambient music works

FatKidWitAJetPak responds:

Thanks. I feel good to know that someone who doesn't like ambient music liked this one. Woohoo! 500 Gold was awarded to me. =B

I don't know...

Iron Man is a great song, but your cover was rather subpar. Or okay at the most.

I can tell you put effort into the song, but the guitar sounded a bit too crunchy, the solo was not perfect, the drums were too quiet, and there was no sense of rhythm in some parts (that wasn't really a major issue though). The biggest problem of this song is the lack of vocals. What's the point of covering a song with vocals if you can't deliver the vocals? Know what I mean? If you don't think you can sing, get a friend. That's what I do in my songs.

To sum it all up, turn the distortion down a little smigit, louden the drums, touch up the solo, and record vocals.

himenow responds:

I don't have any 'friends' where I live that can provide vocals for me.
The 'cover' was just guitar, everything else was digital.
I didn't do the solo, that was digital too :P
I just fiddled around with some notes during that time.

Nice

This is pretty good. Congrats on your 100th review from DanRaniera! How did you get commentary instead of description!?

RyanTime2 responds:

its a new feature! edit your works

Dude, you're amazing

I've been checking out your work for a while and I've come to the conclusion that you're fucking insane! You're a great composer and an even better guitarist! And this track is no exception. Stuart Hamm is an excellent bassist. Is this the solo from Live in San Francisco by Joe Satriani?

How long have you been playing guitar?

Can you please check out my work? That would mean a lot to me if YOU out of all people did. (Yeah I sound like a noob don't I? Asking people to look at my work.) I promise no disappointments.

Metalcan responds:

Thanks a lot! Yep it's the solo from Live in SF. I've been playing for something like 14 years. Sure, I'll check out your work. :)

Wow

That was amazing. I don't think anyone could have done it better (besides Satriani himself of course) I bet your girlfriend loved it.

Metalcan responds:

Thanks a lot, yeah she loved it. :)

Really good!

Too bad it's only 1:38. I would have listened to more...

Metalcan responds:

Thanks a lot!

OMG! I almost got a heart attack!

That, like, fucking came out of nowhere at max volume! The guitar was too fucking loud. The composition itself was fair (I would of given it a 7) but it suffered greatly due to overpowering distortion and volume and lack of clarity, thus taking away my enjoyment, from 7 to 1. Turn it down, make the melody clearer, add a keyboard, bass, and drumkit or whatever you want and the song will be, like, 10 times better. Keep trying! You have the potential to be a good musician, I can tell. I can help you out if you want.

DJ-Ultimize responds:

Thanks for the review, it'll really help, fortunately i have an electric piano... But i don't have a bass, and i have a shitty drum kit. I will turn it down and re-submit it since i know that'll help. Check back in a few days and it'll be working again!

That was awesome

You guys can really shread. I'm somewhat a shreadder myself. On keyboards though. Maybe we could do a collaboration. Like a guitar vs. keyboard thing or something. I have classical influence.

Metalcan responds:

Cool, yeah maybe we could do that sometime! Thanks!

Meh

Too much distortion. I'm pretty sure the composition itself was good but maybe if you lowered the distortion enough to understand the chords, I probably would of enjoyed it.

Goatchrist responds:

I'm aware that it might take a few listens to fully grasp the song and the distorted sound was intentional ;)

Thanks

Nice

You should put this under blues or general rock instead. Btw, what program did you use?

OctaneVein responds:

I used Cubase SX3 for the overall mixing process. Amplitube 2 for distortion, and EZ Drummer for the drums. =) And I changed it to general rock.
